NOW I'm MAD-
They take no responsibilty for this happening-
just that it's human error- and GOD"S will-that it
wasn't meant to be filed then.
So, the case manager said it wasn't her fault at all- that she's been trying to give us the answers as soon as she knows them.
She recieved an email- SHE HASN"T PICKED UP A PHONE YET TO ASK WHY THIS HAS HAPPENED- JUST EMAIL- which makes me even more mad- because she speaks spanish and could put him on the spot but NO.
anyway she said on July 4th he had emailed her again saying that before he went on his vacation that he left the paperwork to
be filed but he didn't know why the lawyer didn't file it. So he had it done yesterday (JULY THIRD!!!!!!!!) SEVEN weeks after receiving the POA (the 2nd POA) the first one EIGHT weeks ago- the case manager from our agency didn't put the lawyers first name so they had us RUSH it- to redo it.
We have rushed to get everything done- to get Joel home faster.
I asked why on Earth did they allow us to go visit him even before he was in FC? and she didn't understand why I was getting mad or even the meaning of the question.
Her whole stand is- why are we getting mad because it will go through, but it will just take longer because they have to release all of those cases that were before June 30th. (WHICH WAS SUPPOSE TO BE US) so we don't even have a social worker yet-
I asked her what she thought how long it will be then (since his bday is Nov 6th) and she said there's no way now he'll be home before then. that it will be the shortest 4 months from july 3rd to who knows when- I said NOT longer than a year right? she said well it could take that long. because the system doesn't know what they want for the new (anyone after June 30th) regulations. If they want to add a longer stay time- psych evaulations etc... and anything before July 1st will be with the old way. So- I'm so defistated
