Yes. You need to be monitored when you're taking these meds. Whether you have full monitoring with ultrasounds and blood work or just blood work at the end of the cycle to determine whether or not you ovulated will be something your and your doctor will discuss and decide. Since every woman reacts differently to these drugs, it's in the best interest of your health to take every precaution.

As to the effect of back to back to back Clomid cycles, I explained a little farther up in the thread why it's sometimes a problem. Clomid doesn't clear the body very quickly and often leads to poor uterine linings and dry cervical mucus. What a ridiculous side effect, right?

Well I don't have insurance, so this is all on my own. But clomid I paid $15 for 150mg's for 5 days. I just bought Femara and for 15 2.5mg's of Femara (not generic) was $198!!! So I'm jealous for you who don't have to pay as much! LOL
Good luck I did about 9 rounds of clomid no success, got a couple follies but no bfp!

Jeanice - I don't have IF insurance right now either. I was looking online for femara and saw you can buy them for about $230 and you get 30 pills. Have you started taking them yet?

My femara was covered by insurance and it was 30$ for 3 tabs- 7 days. Whereas the clomid was not covered on my insurance, so i cost a little more

I paid about $9 for 50mgs of Clomid, $14 for 100mgs, $23 for 150mg and $42 for 5mg of Femara. The last three were all on this cycle! My bank account is screaming in pain! (as is my sanity)

Also, Marcie, I just wanted to say your chart looks awesome!!! I wish you the best.
