i'm on Orthotricyclen Lo right now and it's making me crazy. I'm also on Spiro but I've been told you shouldn't take Spiro without a BCP because it can potentially cause birth defects if you have a baby.
I'm on Yasmin. I had been on Yaz, but absolutely hated the side effects (I gained a ton of weight, was sick to my stomach almost every night, bad headaches, skin issues..) so I switched to Yasmin

Hi, I'm currently taking Yaz and have been for approximately 1 year. No one really explained to me the side effects until now. It helped in regulating my periods but caused them to become less and less. Last month, it literally lasted 1 day. This month, it has not come so far. Upon speaking with my nurse practitioner earlier today, she told me that this is completely normal and to not be worried.
I also suffered from crippling headaches and have gained about 20 pounds on this pill so far which I find ridiculous since my doctors have been recommending weight loss so much.
I would recommend something else. I have not tried anything else, but will definitely be switching soon.
wow, i was on Yaz for about 2 cycles and it was amazing for a month but then I started getting really bad anxiety and depression from it, so i went off the pill completely for 3 months until i got my period for a month straight. I had to go back on the pill to stop the bleeding but I tried Orthotricyclen Lo and it turned me into a raging lunatic, so I recently just stopped that one. In general it seems like I have a low tolerance for the Pill so I'm not going back on it and if I ever need to use birth control to not get pregnant, it won't be in pill form.
