JUST WONDERING WHAT IS THE BEST MILIGRAM OF METFORMIN TO BE ON, i AM ON YASMIN TO I AM STATRING A STRICK DIET AFTER CHRISTMAS I HAVE LOST 2 BABIES WE WANT TO TRY AGAIN NEXT FALL, WONDER IF 2500 IS THE BEST MILIGRAM AND WONDER IF I SHOULD TAKE AT MORNING OR NIGHT I GO BACK TO MY ENDO IN JAN 8TH ....

I think it depends on what your body needs. I'm on 1500 mg and it works fine for me.

If your Met is extended release, you can take it anytime. If it is not, it needs to be spread out, so that you take it 2 - 3 times a day. Your prescription will normally have instructions on the bottle to tell you how to take it. (Something like "Take one pill 3 times a day.")

1500mg is usually the minimum dosage that will help PCOS symptoms. Some people take 2000 or 2500mg if their insulin resistance is severe.

Your doctor's the only one who can advise you on how much met to take. It depends on where your hormones are and it depends on how your body's reacting to the 1500mg so far. That may be all you need or you doc might want to up your dose.
