Hope this thread is a success ...I need something other than OILY mac products!! |
I will try to help, but I warn you, I am still looking for my oily skin saviour.

Ok, right now this is what I do.....
Morning: Sea Breeze
Finacea
Smashbox Antishine in Neutral (primer for T-zone)
Dermadoctor Tease Zone (primer for whole face)
Foundation: Revlon Colorstay
Concealer: Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer
Powder: T. LeClerc Banane Loose Powder
MAC Blot Powder
I use Retin A Micro at night and sometimes a Sulfur Mask.
The foundation itself does help with oilies, but only a bit, I would say maybe a few hours. Primer/correctors are the key to keeping oilies at bay longer. I will admit that I blot quite a bit during the day. I am very very very oily. I was recently told to try 100% silk powder. So I just bought some and will be trying that to see if it helps with the oil.
Revlon is a drugstore foundation so it is reasonably priced. I hear Estee Lauder Double Wear is
generally the same kind of formula, just costs more. I break out with Estee so can't use it. As for darker colors, I assume there is a good selection. Unfortunately I am pale as a ghost and don't even look past the first color in a beauty line. And most of the time, the color is still not light enough for me.
Oh and one other thing. The colorstay for normal to oily skin is what I consider to be medium to full coverage. (I have acne and PIH). I think they have a Colorstay light version which is not as much coverage. If you get an exact match, the Colorstay will not look like a mask. I know sometimes fuller coverage foundations can be mask-like. But the right color makes a huge difference. Sorry so long. Thanks for reading.
