Default What is the best razor to use??

So right now I am shaving every morning, I have a full beard. I NEVER can get a close enough shave, especially around the chin. I get a pretty decent 5 oclock shadow in the early afternoonish. I am using a gillette power fusion but I dont really like it. I get really bad razor burn. I use soap instead of shaving cream. I have tried using shaving cream but didnt get a close shave. So I am wondering what all of you use to shave??? Would a electric razor work better?? and what can I do about this razor burn. Its very noticable. And of course I have acne too so my face is just all red.

Thank you all for your help!!!!
Cyndi

Hi There,

I have to shave my face every morning too. Otherwise I dub myself the circus freak (aka bearded lady). Anyways, I like using Zirh Shave Gel. Sephora sells it. It's of course a man's product but it gives me a close shave unlike shaving cream and washes off easily! I tried an electric razor but it didn't give me a close enough shave. Hope this helps!

You might try the Venus razor, and use a loofah on the area you're going to shave first. Be sure to use something that is made for sensitive skin too.

I use the mach three turbo and aveeno positively smooth shave cream. The cream reduces the appearance of hair with continual use. I shave against the flow of hair (a usual no-no but it works!) Before I shave every morning (which I do in the shower, fog free mirror!!) I run a pumice stone over the area as much as I can stand and this REALLY helps prevent ingrown hairs, loofah works well too. I use the intuition on my legs, but never tried it on my face...
