Trader Joe's also carries a similar "sprouted grain" bread that is pretty good that I always assume would be good for the diet, too.

Points: 3,830.22 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,830.22 | I recently discovered Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Flour Pita Bread. It contains 4 grams of net carbs (8 total, 4 fiber) and 6 grams of protein. And it actually tastes pretty good! It's softer than regular pita bread but I actually like it better.

Texture is very much like a regular English muffin, the taste is a little cardboardy but you get used to it. Good for sandwiches. |

It's pretty odd tasting but I'm used to it and find it passable for making peanutbutter toast, egg sandwiches, etc. However, DH won't touch the stuff with a 10 foot pole.
I second Moondogfluffy's recommendation for the Thomas Light English Muffins... they are really good. My favorite way to eat them is to toast and spread with a little brummel and brummel and smear on a wedge of laughing cow cheese. Yum... it really helps with my bagel and cream cheese cravings. Also they are good as a bun for a veggie burger.

The ezekiel brand hamburger buns are fantastic. I love them!

I bought it last week and love it. But its a heavy dense bread that's a bit harder. I don't think it would make a good sandwich unless it was softer. It makes the best toast. I typically smear some butter, pb or cream cheese on it and its heaven. I will probably never eat another kind of bread.

The bread is soft, and it's not cardboard-y. There's no HFCS, artificial preservatives, colors, and it's stoneground. To me, that's a whole lot of good, and very little bad! There's also 4 g of fiber and 4 g of protein.
