I have been on Loestrin for nearly a year. Next month I plan on getting off the pill for a while. I don't need it for BC purposes and take it strictly to regulate my cycle, and it has helped slightly with the acne. I must admit that the Loestrin barely made me have a period. It was so light and only 3 days, it was done. ahhh so nice! Anyways, I have a high risk of breast cancer going for me and I really hate to be on the pill. My Ob/gyn did not offer me any other suggestions. I am not overweight and my only plan for PCOS has been BCP. I am no longer going to use this ob/gyn, so until I find another one I was wondering what I can do to possibly help my cycle along and what to expect once I come off my last pack of pills?

If you still need help regulating your cycle, there are Metformin, Provera, and alternative natural treatments. Unless you have IR your doctor might be wary giving you something like Metformin, but Provera seems to be a pretty popular and simple alternative.
