My Mood: Points: 23,413.34 Bank: 214.56 Total Points: 23,627.89 | What could this have been? I was out with my hubby and daughter Saturday morning. I had a granola bar for breakfast and felt fine whe we left. About 30 minutes later as we were driving I got dizzy, had the worst pain on my sides by my overies...I have never felt anything this bad...I broke out in a cold sweat, I was numb and could not move and could not see AT ALL. Then I started vomiting for about 15 min. I could not hold myself up, My hubby had to so I would not land on my face on the pavement. What could have caused this? It was scary and about an hour after that I felt fine. Thank you!

Otherwise if it happens again see the Dr straight away as it really could be anything. Pain near your overies can radiate from other areas (eg appendyx (sp.?) so keep an eye on yourself and any sign of the same thing get medical help!
As for the not seeing, intense pain can momentairly shut down other processing areas in your brain so it can deal with sorting out what is going on. It sounds like this may have been the case for you?
Hope this never happens again and it was just a crazy one off thing that bodies sometimes do.

I would def still see a dr though, but maybe start keeping a journal of your intake, etc and see if it happens again, then maybe you can isolate the problem.
I'm so sorry this happened! What a bummer!
Hugs

I have had 6 surgeries for ovarian cysts and have had multipul burst over the 13 yrs I've delt with it and as Fairy2323 suggested it totally sounds like you had one(or several) burst. I have went through the EXACT same thing dizzy, not being able to see, puking, intense pain. It also felt like everything was in slow motion and I bet it seemed like your hubby was far away even though he was right there..kinda like zoning into another world??? Sucks I know cyster..sending u hugs!!! xoxox |

You also may have a cyst that is trying to rupture. I know this because everytime I eat a carbohydrate, my blood sugar rises for hours. I also have severe nausea and vomiting. I have headaches that feel like my head is going to explode. I would contact your pcp and your gyno and have a workup done. Hope this helps.. |
