Default What did your HCG level have to be before TTC again?

Hi ladies,

What did your Dr say your HCG level had to be before TTC again after a loss. Mine is 6.58 today. Anyone's Dr give them to go ahead to TTC again with meds with an HCG a little over 5?

Thanks!

Bump. (I'm curious myself.)

In my case they wanted "zero" and two full cycles (so start medicated TTC again 3rd cycle post m/c). My m/c was natural at about 7 weeks (but pg was labeled not viable from start based on non-doubling betas). u/s did show sac and subsequently fetal pole.

The 2 cylce bench is standard for my clinic, which I find troubling. I would think it should depend on how and when you m/c.

From lots of reading the only consistent thing I see is that HCG should be zero (which is < 5), but many folks don't actually have betas followed down that low.

I'm waiting on second AF (post m/c) and hoping RE might give me go ahead rather than waiting another cycle. So I'm offiicially benched.

Don't know if it helps. Best of luck.

I was monitored every week until my HCG was under 5. After that, my RE gave me the go ahead.

My clinic likes to see them below five, and wants one cycle before trying again.

Good luck and lots of babydust!

Thanks for all the responses! My Dr gave me the go ahead to start TTC again and I started taking Tamoxifen 2 nights ago. Tonight will be my third night on the med. Since I had a normal AF my Dr said I could start again.

Good luck to all of you!
