Default What is the difference between t3 and t4 meds?

I have been on levoxyl for 3 months now. I at least have my energy level back up. I was really having a hard time in July and August

The last few days I've been extremely tired, I don't know if that's because I was ending my "friend" or if my body is messing up again

I was found something on the web that certain foods should be avoided if you have a thyroid problem how many of you do this?
When I read the veggies I almost cried because of course I eat spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, bressel sprouts. I'm trying to eat good and do things to help my health but I feel like I can't eat anything anymore.

HI! Glad to hear you're getting your energy back. I'm just starting out and lost all mine. lol

I'm still learning about the differences between t4 and t3. One site that I've gotten a lot of info from is: Thyroid Disease 101 It explains the differences in the hormones.

This site: http://www.thyroid-info.com/drugs/index.htm has info on the drugs themselves (just found it). It has a lot of other good info too.

Good luck adjusting your diet. I swear, I'm to the point where I either don't like something or I can't eat it. My choices seem to be dwindling a lot.

The only food that seems to make my throat area hurt and feel swollen or make me feel my hypothyroid symptoms (now that they are under control with meds) is soy sauce. I've noticed if I use soy sauce in cooking or eat chinese food, I get really sleepy and cold to the core. I haven't noticed it with any other foods, but do try to avoid salt as much as possible too.
