Default What to do about IR if you're already thin ?

Is there anyone else here that finds it really scary to be thin and EVEN so be still IR ?

I'm actually not 'thin' at the moment because I gained 50lbs in 2 years from a combination of antidepressants (slow down your metabolism) and sloppy eating (Also probably pcos)

Anyways...I am trying to get back down there...but I know it will not make my pcos go away since I was actually diagnosed with it back when I was 120lbs! I am thinking of maybe trying to get down to 110 lbs and lower my body fat percentage that way...but I'm still not sure that will cure my pcos... It's kinda frustrating to know that simply losing weight won't cure my pcos!

So I'm wondering..am I gonna be stuck on Met and birth control pills all my life or is there anything else one can do about IR besides losing weight and low carbing ?

Nod SAME with me! I had a 'normal' cycle maybe like 3 times! and then they started to space out..6 weeks...2 months...5 months ...8 months!!! Likely it was never normal...

I did notice a correlation between my cycles and my activeness/the amount of exercise I get...

As far as I can track though with respect to weight..as soon as I topped maybe 107lbs (I was about 13 and still growing)...the symptoms were exacerbated (I'm was never really skinny..but pretty average).. well I'm only 5'2...

I keep wondering if I should try to get down to like 100lbs with only 4 or 5 % body fat ? Do you think that would help ? Or does it only count to get within the 'normal' weight range ?
