Ground beef. Even the thought of it makes me want to hurl. And DH got me this nasty ginormous beef burrito for lunch the other day - after I told him I wanted anything BUT that.

I definitely have more aversions than cravings. Not as bad with this pg, but with DD, I didn't want to eat at all. Nothing sounded appealing to my the whole first trimester. Stuff that I normally loved made me sick (cottage cheese and bananas for instance).

My youngest sister craved root beer - the bottled kind. And my other sister craved milk and orange juice - which did wonders for the heart burn!!

I have read that you crave what you lack sometimes - so if you're craving pickles or salty foods, you might not be getting enough sodium since we need more because of the increased blood volume. Pretty amazing how our bodies work sometimes.

Here's where I read that:

I'm in the first trimester and having more aversions than cravings...I am really NOT interested in chicken or anything sugary lately. Last night all I ate for dinner was green beans.

As for cravings...peanut butter and homemade vanilla milkshakes. I haven't been the biggest fan of either in a LONG time, but suddenly I'm eating one or the other every day. They keep my nausea away for some reason.

I have to have a peanut butter sandwich every night. If I don't eat one before bed..I end up getting up around 2 am to eat one...so I learned early on. ALSO I love mexican, anything that is spicy there. Funny thing is I usually hate spicy..and DH loves it...now I can't get enough. I have to go every other day to get something.

To start off...though, it was any kind of fruit I could get my hands on!

MRucker...I also eat PB sandwiches in the middle of the night! They help me sleep if my tummy is causing problems & such. It's the only thing that does the trick!
