What to do with unused meds?

My husband has a very good insurance/drug coverage, and I pay only a $10 copay for all of my meds. Knowing this, my RE was prescribing Gonal-F like crazy on the only cycle I tried injectibles. Well it was successful, and I am now almost six weeks along. I do have a number of extra Gonal-Fs with one unopened and I think 3 that are opened but not all used (my RE would give me a prescription for a new Gonal-F every time he changed the dose when he was monitoring me).

I read somewhere here about donating the unused meds to my clinic but when I asked them about it, they said they don't have a donation program. Anyway, does any of you know of a legal way to donate my meds? I just can't imagine throwing away these meds as I know they cost at least a thousand dollars and someone might be needing it. I like in Philly by the way.

To those PMing me about the meds, I'm sorry but I was able to donate my unopened meds already and the opened ones are already expired (I used them in February, and it has a shelf life of 28 days).
