Default What do you do with your summer?

Hi guys

I have been wondering, what do you do for your summer break? There has been much publicity over here over the years recruiting people to work on Camp USA summer camp, so it made me wonder - what else goes on over summer.

For us summer is over the xmas holidays and we often spend time outdoors and with family. Our holidays last approx from Dec- early Feb, I think thats smaller than your break isn't it?

Hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and holidays

For me (in the US), summer is roughly mid-May to the end of August. Now that myself and my friends are in college and don't have time to work and study, the big thing to do in the summer is work work work! In order to have money for the semester, buying food and all that.

Otherwise I like to hang out with my friends and just relax. Usually summer is the only long span of time I have to read as much as I want.

I can understand the need to work, I used to keep a weekend job of about 8 hrs a weekend. It used to wreak havoc with the assigns I had while full time classes in the week. Now without a permenant job I find myself really scrimping on the money front, no texting friends unless necessary!

J sounds kind of a similar structure to here, we have primary school (from age five) where u spend 6 years, the intermediate for 2 yrs (thats years 7&8, we name our 'grades' by year numbers LOL) then secondary school from years 9 -13 if u stay till the end, u can leave after you are 15yrs old.

We get summer hol's from roughly Dec-Jan/Feb
Then first break of the school year (our school year runs to a calendar year) of 2 weeks at easter

Then 2 weeks in June/July (or if u have finished school & are studying tertiary like me then u get 3 weeks here -YAY)
Then 2 weeks again around Sept, which is the last before summer when we finish our school year

well i'm also in the US and our break is the end of may til the beginning of september. And during my summer months I'm really not old enough to have a job so I pretty much lounge around somedays..go for walks somedays with friends or go to baseball games! And then of course I work out! Gotta fit that in somewhere too you know!
