If you don't have time for a smoothie, I would recommend non-fat/low-fat greek yogurt. It has lots of protein and is low in sugar. You can usually find it in the natural/organic foods sections.

Wow, both of those are really great ideas too. I'm going to go check out that Polanar fruit spread. I also didn't know there was a difference in types of yogurt. Thanks again for the awesome suggestions, everyone!

Eggo makes whole wheat waffles with cinnamon...they are yummy. I eat that along with scrambled Egg Beaters.

I eat Fiber One cereals by General Mills??? They come in honey nut flakes, raisin bran, and caramel squares. They are super-packed with fiber. That is eaten with fat free, lactose free milk.

I usually do oatmeal, with skim milk and strawberry preserves or a bowl of fiber one cereal with skim milk.

I eat HIGH fibre whole wheat cereals with 1% milk where I usually add some cold water too...
OR

I eat scrambled or boiled egg with once slice of whole wheat bread and once slice of low fat cheese.

And I am good for a good couple of hours.

Lately I've been eating Kashi Heart-to-Heart with vanilla flavored soymilk. The flavored soymilk adds a little bit of sweetness to those really bland healthy cereals. I know some people don't like to do soy with pcos, but I figured I could at least give it a shot.

For breakfast this morning, I had a small bowl of POP's cereal and a Crystal Light Raspberry Tea.

i too have trouble with breakfast...usually for me heart to heart cereal and 1% milk or toast or english muffin, oatmeal with peanut butter, the weight control oatmeal. i don't usually like eggs for breakfast but was just thinking that breakfast is often too much carbs... i love yogurt but have never seen the lower sugar kind... i like the idea of cottage cheese and fruit or preserves in oatmeal. keep the ideas coming, this is good!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with breakfast trouble!

This morning I had scrambled eggs, shredded Tex-Mex cheese and salsa on small whole wheat tortillas. Plus sugar-reduced chocolate milk with protein powder. And a banana.

Real fruit spread is normally in the jam/jelly section. There is a brand named Polaner, and Smucker's makes it too.

I really like the South Beach Living Strawberry Harvest Crunch. It has protein in it, so I don't get hungry before lunch. I had been eating the Quaker Weight Loss Cinnamon Oatmeal, but my triglycerides have gone up again. I've read that oatmeal can elevate triglycerides, so I'm trying something else. I probably need to do protein with no carbs, but that's really hard to do when you are on the run. When I try protein smoothies, I have nasty digestive issues.

I sometimes eat leftovers from dinner. Hey, it's food, right? It's usually healthier (e.g., more protein and more veggies) than anything else I'd make for breakfast.

Spinach and omega egg whites with a small amount of creamy feta cheese and a cup of berries. It's pretty good!
