I really could use some advice-- any ideas or suggestions are really appreciated!
I found out I was pg on 8/4-- got a beta test and everything looked great (I don't know the beta results).
I O'd on 7/21 so I am pretty sure that is when I concieved.
Last week I had some slight brown spotting on Monday. Then Thursday I had an vaginal u/s and we saw the sac, baby and the tech thought she saw a faint heartbeat. On Friday I went to the dr-- told him I was bleeding. Not enough to get on my underwear but what there when I wiped. He said that can be normal after a vag u/s and not to worry. Friday night I passed tissue and went the the ER assuming it was miscarriage. The dr on call from my dr's office examined the tissue and agreed it looked like a miscarriage. He examined me and said that my cervix was closed. He sent me home and told me to call if I had a lot of bleeding or cramping. I was crushed. All weekend I continued to bleed-- the same amount as a light period- never more than a small amount on the pad.
Today I got a call from my dr's office to come in ASAP. The dr told me that they had sent the tissue from Friday to the lab and that the tissue came back "not pregnancy related". He would think it was eptopic but we saw the baby in my uterus last week. He ordered a blood HCG test and another one for me to come back on Thursday. He said that the chances of a viable pregnancy are very slim. He said he wanted to monitor my HCG levels for a while. He said if they didn't go down we would do an u/s.
I have discussed this with some friends who went through IVF and they told me to insist on an u/s tomorrow.
What do you think? Anyone heard of or experienced anything like this?
Sorry for the long story and and TMI-- btw-- I would be about 8 weeks.

Many people bleed early in pregnancy. As a matter of fact many bleed throughout the first trimester or even longer for no apparent reason what so ever. I would ask for an u/s and hopefully they will give it to you. You should be able to see something if they nay have detected a hb already. At least this would put your mind at ease. The beta can help too. Do you know what the most recent beta #'s are so that you can compare them with the next one? Don't give up just yet hun. Good Luck!!!

Sandra-- They only did one beta-- the day I found out I was pg and I was only about 3-4 weeks pg. They never told me the number. Thanks for the support. I am going to call tomorrow morning and ask for an u/s. It can't hurt, right?
