This is a short version but I have basically been diagnosed with pcos from one doctor (gyno) and then another said I didnt have it (reproductive endo). I am not overweight, I do have hypoglycemia a little. I have chin hairs. I am regular like a clock in my cycles and get ovulation pains. I got pregnant first try with my now one year old. About 5 months ago I started having bad insomnia and anxiety. It was like I could not go to sleep all night. I had to start taking ambien cr. It didnt work at first but now it works pretty good. I have tried antidepressants and they make me feel like I am on speed (cant tolerate them). I am sligtly hypothyroid and have had that under control with synthroid. I have been sleeping better so I tried not taking the ambien cr. The first night I slept ok and went to sleep within an hour. The second night I stayed awake until 3 feeling wired so i finally gave in and took 5 mg of reg ambien and went right to sleep. I am afraid I am addicted or something but I cant not sleep I have a baby to take care of. Now within the last month or so I feel soooo hot. My face feels flushed and its like I radiate heat. My reg doctor checked my hormones and said that they are fine. I am wondering if I need to get another opinion from a endo doctor again? I feel like my hormones are nuts or something. SOmedays I am fatigued and others I am wired. I dont drink caffeine or anything. I have tried all the sleep tips out there. I have even been to a sleep specialist and had a sleep study done. I have also been to a neurologist and every thing is fine. I am at a loss here. wwyd? Any suggestions? Oh I have also tried all the natural herbs and melatonin etc.

could you see a different dr instead?? i wasnt happy with my first dr, so i changed surgery to get some pcos help, What id suggest is to write down everything that you want to ask/say so you dont forget. Thats what i always do

I agree with the PP. Another opinion would be a good idea. I keep a little note pad with me and write down questions when I think of them. My dr is used to my little "interviews" now. LOL!
