Thanks, I've been looking online for some info. It's hard to find.
Anyone else have anything to add?
Is it safe to use everyday? It won't mess up my cycles now will it?

I took it years ago as it was recommended to me by my MD for cramps. I had no problem with it. I will e-mail a friend of mine who is an exotic animal vet. She has studied in herbs, etc. in China and knows a lot about that kind of thing in humans also. If she doesn't know off hand, she should know where to look.

Dong Quai is good for you, it is used as an overall female tonic, and can help with periods. The reason you cannot find why you should not take it is because that info can be used for the wrong purposes. Dong Quai is also an abortifacient (it can cause a miscarriage) when taken at a certain dosage. The dosage you are on is highly unlikely to cause any problems though. I was on Dong Quai for a month with my oldest girl after I got a false negative on a preg test. I spotted during that month, but no ill effects. however, women with PCOS are already prone to miscarry, so you may wish to exercise caution if TTC. Dong Quai can assist you in your quest for conception, but watch for anything unusual you should not have an issue at the dosage you are on. , especially if it is only a part of an herbal blend. hope this helps
shellsalynne, Thanks for your info. I kinda figured that the does that would be in this blend might be pretty low so if would not hurt. I think that I might wait about 5 more days for me to start my AF and then try it out. See how I like it. After I start af I will have about 3 weeks before I O again.
I spoke to my friend tonight and said it shouldn't be taken when ttc. She is also ttc and is no longer taking it after researching it just to make sure. I wish I would have paid attention when she explained this part to me...but she said something about it acting as a certain hormone that will work against someone ttc. It also causes uterine contractions and that's why there is a warning label to not take it when pregnant. People react differently to different dosages so it's not always good to assume that a low dose is OK. She said she is not risking it since she's been ttc.

OmShantiOm, Thanks! Do you know if it would be okay to take before you O? If I take it from AF to a few days before I o?
Thanks again!!
