Default What Does Everyone Do...

For a living?

I know we've asked what everyone's dream job is, but I'm curious as to what you do? Do you work outside the home, or are you a stay at home Mum (my dream job!) or maybe a student?

Me, I'm a library technician, and I work in systems support (IT) for a public library service. Basically if it's to do with computers, is a computer, runs on a computer or is connected to a computer, I support it for the libraries!

Plus when you get an overdue letter or email from the library, or a holds notice... well I'm the person who produces those!

So what about everyone else?

Congrats on your weight loss - 15kg is amazing, how inspiring are you?!!!

I am a SAHM on the days I dont work lol, I work at woolies!! I only do 4 hours at a time though because of breastfeeding, but lately I have been getting loads of hours as they are short staffed. Once the new people start wroking more I will probably only work there one day per week...

And I missed the dream job thread -so in case youre wondering I would LOVE to be a Speech Pathologist! Weird I know, but I might get there one day.......if I move somewhere to study it full time for 4 years lol...

Thanks Bec!

I seem to have reached my "plateau" with the weight loss at the moment, but I am struggling along knowing that if I keep going I'll drop off that plateau eventually. I just have to stay away from the sugar cravings!

That's great that your workplace is so flexible to allow you to work around breastfeeding.

So what about everyone else??

I'm a SAHM who used to be an IT Application Specialist (help desk/support/trainer/'puter GEEK)... SAHM is more stressful, and rewarding - love it, though challenging as it is......

I have several....I've worked in Real Estate foreclosures for you (bank repo's) and I am also a horse trainer and Equine Homeopathic vet. I do the RE about 40% of the time and the horses (training and vet work) the other 60%. I look forward to being a SAHM, as I am self employed in both my Professions and can set my own schedule.

I work as a proofreader for the Medical Journal of Australia. I love it! I'm only part time, the rest of the time I'm working towards my Masters in Professional Writing. Eventually I'd love to be a science/medical writer and editor, so I'm working towards that.

Im SAHM to two five year old girls and a 3 year old boy. The girls are in school full time now and when DS starts full time I will have to hit the job trail again I guess. I used to work on a prawn trawler with my husband but thats out of the question these days .
