Default what does this mean!!!!!

Hi girls

ive had 4 m/c s, the last two consecutive, anyway, had a blood test with my gp and the results came back -

LH -low
FSH - normal
Testosterone - slightly elevated
Thyroid - normal

This test was done 3 days after onset of AF.

So the dr has concluded that i dont have pcos AT the Moment. He has recommended a scan to get a better picture, but i got the impression that he was dissappointed i didnt have the sticky blood thing, coz that is what he is used to dealing with, and suggested i take baby aspirin anyway.

my periods are regular, but i do suffer from excess hair especially on my neck, and the backs of my thighs.

so what do you think? Is the elevated testosterone causing the problem, coz when i mentioned metformin, he looked at me as if i was of another planet.

any input would be greatly appreciated

love gill x

Gill, what were your FH & LH numbers? They should be roughly equal. If they're not, it means you have PCOS...separately, it's easy to miss the diagnosis, but if a doc looks at the ratio, it often tells the story.

Was your progesterone checked during your pregnancies? And, please list all of the RPL testing you had done - Saluki_fan's our resident RPL expert. I'm sure she'll let you know if there's anything else to look for.

Metformin is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED during the first trimester to prevent M/C. And progesterone supplementation can't hurt anything, either. I think you need a new doc.

((hugs)),
