Ok I started a thread all about how many people share the same name as you, so I thought that I would start another one all about what your name means and where it comes from !!!
Mine is Sarah and it means: - Means "lady" or "princess" in Hebrew. This was the name of the wife of Abraham in the Old Testament. She became the mother of Isaac at the age of 90. Her name was originally it was Saray but God changed it !
mine is Tawney and it is a shade of reddish brown, further more my irish tribe was McNinch and I have been researching what it was derived from and got a few different answers so i am still looking
Mine is an old irish name that means exalted one or strength. My sister once bought me a key ring that said it meant "tall" as i'm only 5'4" we all saw the funny side

My first name means 'weaver of cloth' and by some million to one fluke, my surname means 'dyer of cloth'. (And my parents didn't know that when they named me!) I'm a craftsperson and I do both weaving and dyeing all the time! Weird! My husband's surname - which I never took because I think it's a bit of a cheek being expected to change your name when the man don't - means 'hunter', which is probably cooler than my name but it's not a name I ever use.
