I just started met @ 850 a day, but my doc told me to cut my pill in half & take half a pill 2x a day for the first week/week & a half. So far it's making me really sick to my stomach. Blah.

I am taking 1500mg of XR once a day with dinner. I started at 500mg and worked up to this dosage over a 3 week period.

I tried taking 1500 mg of metformin each day, but had major GI trouble. I attribute that to taking 1000 all at once with dinner, thoug.
Today is my first day of taking 1500 mg in divided dose of 750 mg with breakfast and 750 mg with dinner.
Dividing up a little better will hopefully alleviate the GI problems.
However, I noticed major dizziness and lightheadedness around 11:30 a.m. Perhaps it's dropping my blood sugar a little too low.

Weight Stats: Original: 234, Current: 224, Short/Long Term Goals: 200/130
Exercise: 600 monthy minutes of WiiFit (601 in July so far)

I'm on 1000mg of Met and had my first O 3 days ago! I started with 500mg for a week and then went up.
