What dose of Spiro is everyone on??

I go back to the doctor on Thursday and I am going to start Spiro. I am just wondering what everyone is one and how do they determine what the starting dose is.

Also, what should I expect when I start?

I've been taking 200mg for two weeks...and am already noticing a difference as far as hair texture and growth.

I don't know what the "normal" dosage or results are.

I am only on 50 mgs. I have been on it for about a month. I haven't really noticed much of a change, but I am going to give it until my next drs appointment. If no change by then, I am going to ask to up my dose.

I'm on 1 x 50mg a day at the moment. I got my blood test today to check my potassium levels and if they are ok then I will be going up to 100mg.

I took 100 mg of Spiro daily for a year with no effects on my facial hair or hair loss. I eventually worked my way up to 200 mg, but it ended up that the only thing it did do was get rid of the little dark hairs that were starting to pop up on my chest.

So, I went off it.

Well now, almost two years later, the little dark hairs are back, so I've starting taking Spiro again 100 mg - 50 mg in the morning and 50 mg in the late afternoon.
