It's so confusing! I had such a hard time knowing what to eat and what to avoid that my RE suggested that I see a nutritionist that specializes in PCOS diets.
She has me on a high fiber diet. I can eat basically anything I want as long as it's high in fiber. I have to watch the sugars in packaged foods, breads, and I only eat whole wheat pasta. She also told me to limit myself to two servings of fruit a day. No juice, no apple sauce...two pieces of real fruit.
I have noticed a CONSIDERABLE difference in my side effects. As in, when I eat as I should, I have NO side effects. When I fall off the wagon, even just for one meal, I get ill.
Hope this helps. If you need any other suggestions, please email me. I have a ton of info from my nutritionist.
