Question What exactly ARE injectibles?

This is something I haven't learned about yet. What are they, do you use them with Clomid or instead? What do they do and what are the types?

Thanks to anyone who can explain!

Hi Bailey,
I just had a consultation w/my Dr yesterday about injectables. There are many different types of medicines they can prescribe you. Some shots are in like a pen form others are a standard syringe and you mix your own meds. I know for some women they do an Ovidrel "trigger" shot once they know for sure they have O'd to drop the egg. For me... clomid didn't work at all. So, I will have to take my injections for 10 days-be monitored every other day-if I O-then I will do the trigger "Ovidrel" shot. My Dr won't give me the pen since he may want to "play" with my dosage depending on what my body does. From what I was told, it is one or the other. Clomid or injections. He said the clomid tricks the brain to produce the hormones needed, where as injections work right on the ovaries and the brain is "kept out of it". Hope this helps in the slightest!
