Default what to expect at urology consult?

Hi Girls,
This is for anyone out there whose DH has had a urology consult. I am super excited about the appt and I am hoping that he can recommend hormonal therapy for DH.. DH on the other hand doesn't know what to expect. He is one of those men that hates doctors, and really hates the idea of someone inspecting "the boys" . If your DH has had a consult, what sort of tests do they run, and what kind of information did you receive? Thanks in advance!

When my husband went in they ordered a bunch of blood tests including PSAs, FSH, LH, testosterone and another semen analysis. They did a single ultrasound as well (not fun according to husband).

Considering all we have to go through, the guys get off relatively easy. He got out of there with a knowledge that his swimmers don't go straight and a suggestion to take multi vitamins!

Mine saw a urologist in September for low counts. The doc did an ultrasound which showed a moderate sized varicocele in one side. He did his surgery to repair it 2 weeks later. I'm not sure if this visit would have been different if they hadn't found something so easily. We're crossing our fingers that it will work!

My DH has had two appts. but has missed both. He was told to see a urologist because his semen volume was low but everything else was fine (count, mobility) I am really trying to get him to go. I think he may be more willing to go if no BFP this month after watching me go through a failed HSG attempt, dilation then a second HSG.

Thanks girls! definitely gives me a better idea of what to expect. The urologist we are going to is also a male fertility specialist so I am hoping that he will have some answers.
