I am doing the shutdown/cleansing process. The month before I started with NPC, my cycle was 21 days. The first month on the shutdown process it was 23 days - I ovulated on day 9. This month (month 2 of the shutdown), I seem to have ovulated on CD 11. I am now on CD 31 and stopped using the NPC on CD 29 (due to miscalculation, was supposed to stop on CD 26 for 7 days). AF still hasn't started I have done two pregnancy tests (one on CD 24 (13 DPO) and one on CD 27 (16 DPO) - both negative.
I am also using Vitex 200mg per day.
Does anyone have any idea of what is going on? This can't be normal? What should I do? Wait until the 7 days without the NPC are over and start again?
boy, your cycles are short! Do you know why? And NPC is making them longer?
I've had screwy cycles before the first few months on NPC, and I did exactly what you suggested - wait 7 days and start over.
I think a lot of people here use Vitex only until O and the NPC - you might try that. Hopefully others will have suggestions.

My cycles used to be much longer (usually between 26-28 days), but then they became irregular and that is why I started with the NPC. According to the shutdown process (http://www.infertilityworkshop.com/a.../cleansing.htm), this is normal, let me quote:
"Often times one finds that with the supplementation the cycles are shorter because your body is getting progesterone to oppose the estrogen."
My main concern is the fact that I did not menstruate at all and does not seem to be pregnant either.
You seem to have the same type of cycles that I do. Last month I was taking Vitex and using NPC and my cycle was 18 days. Usually it is 28 days and this month I used only the NPC and I started today on day 34!
I didn't like the Vitex, it made my cycles too short and it made me moody/depressed. I'm sticking with my progesterone cream. It seems to work pretty well.
I am so glad someone else has experienced something similar
I am actually also considering stopping the vitex - have not had any negative symptoms from it, but while the NPC is good for everyone, I am not so sure about the Vitex.
I am not doing the shutdown, but I can share my experiences with NPC and Vitex so far ...
First of all, I stopped taking the Vitex as I did not like it at all. I had PMS (bloated, moody, irritated), which I usually never have, and my assumptions that it increases LH levels were confirmed 2 days ago when I had some b/w done! Argh!
I used NPC to bring on my period last month. I intended to use it for 14 days, but AF showed up already on the 9th day of using it. I am planning to use it again this month ...
I have no idea, if this helps, but I gave it a try at least
