Default What happens if you don't take meds?

I had been very depressed for a while, and haven't been taking my meds for thryoid, and metforim. Now I'm getting better at taking them at a regular basis. I was told that it is dangerous not taking your meds for hypothroid. What happens???

Well, what happens is that you will just get more and more hypothyroid. That means you will get more and more tired. You will get 'brain fog'. Memory and concentration problems.. You may gain weight. You may get puffy swollen fingers and ankles. You may get depressed.. The list is long and pathetic:

You need thyroid hormones.they take about 4 weeks to build in your system. So skipping a day may not affect you that much. But if you just stop for several days the above symptoms will continue to worsen. IIt is just not worth it. May I ask what type of thyroid hormone you are taking?

I am taking Armour Thyroid and after 7 months I am feeling great!
