Default what has being diagnosed with pcos taught you?

i think of this daily now (ive only been diagnosed with pcos for two weeks now) and i have discovered that pcos is hard to deal with emotionally and physically, but it can give you a different perspective on the way we live our lives. with that being said, what has it taught you?

pcos has taught me to love me for me..even though it's extremely critical on my self-esteem..I'm learning to like me for me and trying to find some other people that love me for me also..

Actually, when I was diagnosed with PCOS I was a bit relieved. It's nice to know that my weight wasn't ALL my fault. There are some things that I can't help as much as others. On the whole, it actually boosted my self-esteem.

I think it's taught me that I don't always have to blame myself for my shortcomings and it's okay to be sick once in a while.

i had a cyst rupture and spent time in the hospital. now i've had countless doctors visits, exams, etc...
Nothing freaks me out anymore. I used to be one of those people that flipped out if someone was bleeding from a paper cut.
Now i want to BE a doctor.
It also made me able to take care of my brother when my mom couldn't. [ i usually would have just shut myself im my room so they germs couldn't get to me haha lame i know]

Hey.
This is my first trip into the teen forum. Being diagnosed taught me that everything happens because of something. I know it sounds weird, but all my symptoms, all my problems, came together into one phrase. It taught me that if many things happen all at once, they most times happened because of one thing. It works a lot in life.
