Default What have you tried that have helped with the hairs?

hi,

i am looking for some tips that you may have tried and have found to help with the excess hairs. these may include but not limited to:

- nutrition (i.e.) low-carbing: what kind of foods were you eating?, etc.
- exercise: what kind? how often?, etc.
- products: (i.e.) aveeno facial moisturizer, etc.
- hair removal methods: (i.e.) waxing, laser treatments, electrolysis, etc.
- medication: (i.e.) aldactone, birth control pill (which brand? i.e. diane 35), saw palmetto, etc.
- herbal stuff: (i.e.) green tea, etc.
- treatments: conventional (i.e.) synthetic medicine versus herbs/massages, etc.

any other thoughts/tips would be really great!

thanks!

Hi Bandana!!!

I just wanted to write a little post to let you know what I am doing with the excess facial hair.

I have been dieting....eating a lot of low carb foods. I was not sure of really what food to eat so I went online and researched low carb diets. I am not on a very low, low carb diet but it is considerably low. In addition to the low carbing I have been excersicing. I excersice 7 days a week....I walk, use an excersice machine (gazelle), and I swim daily.

For medications...I have been taking BCP (Ortho-tri cyclen) and saw palmetto. I am considering trying spiro or vaniqua but I rather try this route first.

I have been using the aveeno positively smooth facial mosturizer. I am not really sure if this is working yet...because I have not been using this very long at all...actually today is only my second day...but it does feel great on your face...... I wax the hair under my chin and I wax my eyebrows. The hair on my upper lip I get rid of by using a deplitory. I have hair other places...but I pretty much leave this alone....or I bleach and trim. I trim and bleach my arms and the hair on my chest. I would love to try electrolysis...but right now I do not have enough money to do that.

So far...things are going well! I will keep you updated on how things are when I am using this stuff longer. I hope this helps! Take care...and *Hugs and luv*

hi katrinaanne,

thanks for responding to my post. i'm glad that you are taking steps towards better health! i wish you all the best. i'd love to hear about how things are coming along with you. please keep me posted.

as for the electrolysis, i did receive your email. i tried to respond but according to the message that i got, your mailbox was full at that time.

you had wanted to know how that is working out for me. i think it is working out well. it is a bit of a slow process but now, i can see some bald spots so i am really glad. it is a bit costly so i really have to save elsewhere (i.e.) not buying clothes as often, not travelling as often as i'd like to. but i'm hopeful that these excess hairs will go away eventually.

B
