Default What if I POAS?

Ok I was told i miscarried last week sometime during light bleeding. No other symptom than that. What my question is, if I POAS will it be positive or negative? If it is positive how long until it is negative. I just feel like i need a clean slate.

I dunno the exact amount of time but can be weeks and I've heard even months before your betas go down to 0. I'm sorry I'm just not sure, but your doc can do a blood test to see where your betas are.

Your dr should run your betas to be sure, like the pp suggested.

Last year I KNEW I miscarried. I saw the little fetus (something I still see in nightmares) that passed. I POAS and it was positive. But it was because my hcg levels were still elevated.

One thing I learned, have the dr run the betas. It's easier emotionally. (And depending on your insurance, cheaper!)

Yes, I agree...have your Dr run a beta......best way to find out!! *hugs*

I m/c'd a week ago today....and I poas that AM, cause I was addicted to see a positive...and it was indeed positive but I was bleeding a bit and found out via u/s that I did indeed m/c...then the beta was 53 or 54...can't recall...confirming that my body rid of it on its own....

I think it depends on the situation. My guess is it might take longer for the beta to go down if you m/c naturally as opposed to D&C. I agree with PP, you should ask your doc to run a beta.

I have had positives as long as 25 days after I started miscarrying. My RE has carefully tracked my betas back to zero through all of my losses. I would ask your doctor to check, IMO it is easier to know the number is going down than to just see the positive. I am sorry for your loss.
