What lab value indicates hypothyroidism? I constantly have my blood work tested for hypothyroidism as my mum, brother and grandma have it. My doctor has done blood work before but only tested my TSH... not my T3 or T4. I understand how the whole process works and I think personally that your TSH can be normal but if your thyroid gland isn't being stimulated by it that the T3 and T4 can still be decreased. Any opinions? I recently had a complete chem panel done and am avidly waiting for the results. I'm hoping to get a copy of them, as she's never offered them before. Thank you!
