Default what meds are you on?

i'm curious to know what meds thin cysters take in comparison to other cysters.

for example, do you take met/glucophage even if you're not IR? BCP? other stuff?

at the moment i'm not taking anything (waiting for updated bloodwork results), but RE wants to start me on something in a few days. i think it's going to be hormones as a forerunner to some ovarian drilling.

i'm also going to try to get him to test me for IR in the aims of getting a low dosage of met because i've read that might also be helpful for us thins.

Default Hi

Zelda:

I take BCP's (Yasmin) along with Glucophage XR 2000 mgs. Alot of endocrinoligists believe that IR plays a part with even thin cysters. Thank goodness mine did, and I have been on the dose for 3 years (in november). I feel better than I have felt in years. There are many articles posted about taking Glucophage even if you are lean. I believe If I would have known about it in my late 20's I wouldn't have had a difficult time conceiving my children AND it might have slowed down the diabetes process even earlier. I am not diabetic but do have severe reactions to sugars, including extreme fatigue and hypoglycemia. I feel I have severe cell damage due my extreme reactions. I started Yasmin because of the havoc with the hormones I was having every month. My body would act like it was going to start so I would have PMS for a month or more straight and i was NO good to my family. I hope you find the right meds for your health. I am 117-118 lbs at 5'0 on a large boned frame.

Blessings!

Candace

I'm 5'4 1/2 (5'5 lets say!), and 103 - 105lbs. My dr started me on 1500mg of Met about 3 weeks ago. My CM has begun to change already, but I'm still waiting for AF. I have heard that most of us are IR, and that an accurate test for it is complicated and very time-sensitive. That's why a lot of us are told we're not. I've been low-carbing, and so far, I haven't had my usual low-blood sugar 'reactions'. So far, so good!
