Question What is this pain???

Hi ladies,

I am currently TTC and today was CD 11, as long as FF correctly pinpointed my ovulation.

Anyhow, at about 1:00 this evening I started to feel this pain in what felt like my left ovary. It continued to hurt and progressively get worse for about the next hour or two.

Basically, it felt like my ovary was swollen and it would hurt whenever I moved my waist, like to sit up or walk. There were also sharp pangs of pain.

I've felt like this before, but usually the pain only lasts a second or two. This was pretty much ongoing for a couple of hours.

Even now, much later in the day, I am getting the occasional pang of pain.

Normally I would think this is ovulation pain, but it certainly is not. My period is due in a couple of days, but I've never had menstraul pain located like that. I think it's too late for implantation, and am not sure if that's what implantation is suppose to feel like.

I'm totally confused and slightly worried.

Any ideas?

I get pains like that every so often my gyn says it's just my cysts. Sometimes they're painful, sometimes they're not.

Hmmm...I do have PCOS of course, but don't think I've ever had a cyst like that before. I guess it could be one. I'm also feeling a few twinges of pain on the other side too, but not to nearly the same degree.

Thanks for the suggestion. If it continues to happen I may ask my doc for an ultrasound.
