Hi, I am from Cambridge and also would love to have someone local to chat with. I am new to PCOS as well. My OBGYN is located in Guelph, and I was born and raised there.

Default help--health care coverage

hi amy
i would like to ask some questions.my husband and i are planning to migrate to alberta canada.as part of the process we need to undergo medical examination. do you think having pco will have an adverse effect in our migration? is treatment(fertility or otherwise) for pco covered by the health care benefit provided by the government?
as a rule migrant should not have any illnesses that will burden canada's health care system

thank you in advance to your response
God bless
rusty

Default Hey all

Hi everyone!

I just moved to Mississauga from Toronto. I attended the clinic with Dr. Blake at Women's College Hospital, and now I'm seeing an OBGYN/RE working out of Burlington at One Fertility.

I've never taken any medications - I'm one of the lucky ones. I found that lifestyle changes (eating habits and exercise) allowed me to lose 70+ lbs, and that 2 years after doing so, my periods have (more or less) returned to a regular cycle.

We found out we were expecting just over 2 weeks ago now, but a few days later, and just shy of 6 weeks, I lost the baby. We're staying positive - I count our little Hope as a blessing that I was able to become pregnant naturally!
