I have been on Yasmin for almost two years and it has been great at controlling my symptoms! It seems though that now it has started loosing it's ability to do that anymore because I am starting to break out(acne) again as I was before starting the Yasmin. I believe that it may not be working for me any longer and I am wanting to try out another pill. I have lost weight and I am eating better so I know that is not it. I am sort of taking a poll to see what you ladies are taking(birth control pill) and what pill is working at controlling symptoms especially acne.

Hi, I am taking Dianette, which defo works for me. It controls my acne and has been helping with the control of my excess hair. I esp notice that after waxing my leg hair is growing back slower, but I do think that I could be thinner if I was not on a BCP. I have not got a serious weight problem, but I am pretty sure that I would be thinner otherwise all the same.
I am taking Mircette. It's different from other pills in that there are only two hormone free-days. You have three weeks of hormones, two days of no hormones, then five days of a little estrogen. It's one of the lowest dose pills available and is supposed to be good for preventing side effects because you get a steady dose of hormones all the time.
I'm on Diane-35 now, started up BCP after being diagnosed on the advice of my GP. I've only been on for 10 days now after a year off and I've gained 5 lbs. I had no pain over the last year without BCP, but since I've started I've been getting stabbing pains.
My skin and hair are already getting better though. It's hard to decide on the BCP versus other meds issue when everyone's experience are so different.
I'm just now starting on Yasmin. A few years ago I was on ortho-tri and hated it. I gained tons of weight! My sister is on Yasmin and loves it so thought I'd give it a try.
I was on marvelon, ovral and now starting demulen. I have never been on BC very long, just in between attempts at TTC. So maximum 6 months at a time. I will probably stay on demulen untill late summer, early fall when we are scheduled to do injections and IUI.

I have been on at least 12 different kinds of BCP's since I was 16 y/o.
The last one I was on was Lo/ovral and it seemed to keep my cycles going good, less cramping and less breakouts.

I've been on Yasmin and liked it the best so far. I also have taken microgestin (hated it!--had periods every two weeks) and Cyclessa which was okay. I have to say I'm now curious about Mircette and will check it out. Am on no birth control now but if my periods continue being out of whack may reconsider going back on.
I've been on Yasmin for a few weeks and I've definitely gained a few pounds. I know that it is water weight/bloating b/c it happened really quickly and it is in my stomach and my boobies hurt. My skin looks fantastic though!
