Before we came under the new server there used to be a spot under the vbPlaza menu that we could by gifts with our points. Since changing to a new server they haven't been able to support that uber-cute function. Maybe one day they will come back!

Oh...oops, I didn't see the second part of your question. The green squares are for your karma.
The little scales at the bottom left of your profile (right by the triangle shaped sign) is for giving other people karma. It's just a cute way to comment on someone's post or give them a compliment or to thank them for helping you out with an issue OR to just say hi, LOL.
If people give you reputation you will eventually see your green squares multiply.
OH...and you can see the comments if you click on the *User CP* link at the top right of your SC screen.
