My Mood: Points: 1,697.54 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,697.54 | What's The Best Approach I'm new here and newly diagnosed. I need to get my testosterone levels down before I can give a progesterone shot and have been thinking about trying herbal supplements. I tried met but it made me horribly sick (either I couldn't keep it down or if I did I had to be close to a bathroom) and I tried Aldactone but it gave me hives. So now I'm at a point where I'm nervous to try any new meds because of the possible side effects and my luck to get the worse ones. I've spoken with a nurse at my dr's office and am waiting to hear back. I've read about Vitex, Saw Palmetto, Licorice and Cinnamon. I'm not sure which ones to take or how much to take. I'd really like to have some input when I speak with him. Also, the progesterone cream...how does it work, when do you use it and is it anything like the shot. Just to stress again, I'm new here and newly diagnosed so please bare with me if I didn't give enough info or have a misunderstanding about something.
Thanks |

But there are some really good threads that will give you some information on npc doses, research, and personal advice from very knowledgable cysters. Try to look through those threads. I think the info will be helpful. I have had some success with chromiumpolyniconate, cinnamon, and alpha lipoic acid. These have really helped level out my bloodsugar problems. Mary's sticky at the beginning of the forum will help you see how these supplements might help. There is also a thread posted by Kat on cinnamon that will help you with doses. I am kind of new as well, but I hope this was helpful. |

If you get any of these I say go to a health food store make sure that they are organic. The bottles have instructions on them.
