Because of my elevated testosterone levels i suffer from moodiness and irritability. I have never taken a BCP in my life. I'm new to this medication thing. I have a feeling the doctor might prescribe bcp's for me. what are some good bcp's that won't really affect my mood.

there really is no best pill for anyone. you don't know until you take it.

I am still struggling to find a good BCP. Actually Struggling is putting it nicely. I like you suffer from too much Testosterone and you would think that these BCP's would give you enough estrogen to counteract or inhibit it. Not for me. I used to be on Yasmin, NuvraRing, Ortho tri Cyclin, Allesse and now Lo/Ovral. Lo/Ovral is supposed to be the least amount of hormones but for me this pill is becoming a nightmare like the others. From the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep I feel like a TERROR. My moods are phycotic and my dreams have become the same way. I'm giving these pills 2 weeks then I'm done. Everybody bodies are different what works for one may not work for another. Or in my case none of them stabalize you out. Good luck in your search Have a great day
