Default What's safe to use during pregnancy

Hi Cysters!

I used Proactive before I was pregnant, and loved it. It worked great for me. But now that I'm pregnant, my Dr. doesn't want me to use it because of the benzoyl peroxide in it.

I've been using Cetaphil lately, but now my face is breaking out like crazy again. What is safe to use during pregnancy?

Thanks!
Becky

I used tea tree oil and Azealic Acid (prescription). They helped moderately, but with all the hormonal changes my skin was a mess until the last trimester, when it got much better. It made me feel like I was at least doing something to be using the products. For some people, pregnancy actually helps clear their skin up. Also, topical erthyromycin (sp?) is alright, but I found this drying, and it didn't help.

Good luck!

I don't know if it's safe to use during pregnancy, but there are a lot of products out available with salicylic acid in them. Stridex comes to mind, and I know Avon's acne products contain it as well. Again, I have no clue if it's safe for your pregnancy (congrats). You might ask your dotor...
