Hi,

Since starting Laser Hair Removal last week, I had some hormones tested to make sure things were under control, and my treatments wouldn't be in vain.

My DHEAS was 7.4, and the normal lab range is between 1.8-10.3. I think it is a little high, but still within "normal".

Both my Total & Free Testosterone were within normal range, too (on the lower side).

My FSH/LH were virtually undetectable, but I'm on BCP and tested about mid-cycle - I think those are factors.

I'm about to start Metformin, and I'll ask on that board, but does anyone know offhand if Metformin helps to lower DHEAS levels at all?

I don't have any previous results to compare to, but I feel good about my results, and hopeful that new hairs won't continue to grow (at least not at the rate they were while I was unmedicated!).
