I started off on 500mg for 3 weeks my doctor wanted to check my liver funtion b.c of past medication problems and my liver. after that checked out I upped it to 1000mg a day been on that for 3 days now only side effect i've had was a massive headache yesterday, and I mean like my worst hang over ever multiplied by a million. But its better today

I am on 1000mg a day since 9/16. I just started getting side effects the past three days

On regular met I was taking 2 500mg a day but the s/e were too bad and my doc lowered it to 500. Ive gotten a new doc since and Im on 2000mg glumetza. Its just an extended release met but Ive had NO s/e. Hope that helps. I feel so much better on it than off. I'll keep it up if I can.

I just started Met XR yesterday. My doctor prescribed me 500 mg/day for a week, then up to 1000 mg/day. If the recommended dosage for PCOS is 1500 mg/day, I guess I should talk to my doctor on my next visit.

I am wondering how long do the s/e last? How long until I should see some improvement (if there is any)?
