I've been on 1500mg of Met since September '03 (with breaks inbetween during the second and third trimesters of my pgs). Since starting my Met again after the birth of DS eight months ago, I've noticed that my cycles are becoming further apart again. On Met they were 32 days apart, but my last two AF's have been 41 days apart. I'm considering upping my dosage to 2000mg. Does this seem like a wise idea? I know 1500mg seems to be the norm, and I recently read that 2000mg is the highest a Dr will prescribe.

Before i became pg i was on 1000 mg per day then after i had DS i had to go on 1500 because my sugars where running to high and for the past 4 mo's i've had 32 day cycles
I started at 1500mgs a day, then later upped it to 2000mgs. It has helped all my PCOS symptoms. I have regular cycles, acne has cleared and I have been able to lose weight and keep it off for the first time in my life.

I was on 1500mg and now 2000mgs for the last 6 months. AF ws usually between 5-6 weeks apart in 1500mgs, but when it started getting to be 7-8 weeks apart I went up to 2000mgs. Now I am back to every 5-6 weeks.
BUT...
I start Vitex (agnus castus) after my last period 4 weeks ago and now have af again! Might be worth a try.

I started out at 500mg 01/11/05. Used NPC to bring on AF. Upped to 1000mg a little over 2 weeks ago and I OVULATED (woo-hoo!) the 13th! (CD16) I am amazed. It took Clomid for me to O before that. And I had 2 m/c'es.
If I'm not preggo, I just hope and pray the 1000mg of Met will still work.
