What should i expect at my appointment?

Hello ladies

Ive read through all 10 pages of this thread and now feel like i know all of you

My name is Cimone, from Adelaide, SA. Been ttc #1 since 03/08 but had an inkling something was not right and got test done few weeks ago. Diagnoses: PCOS, no surprise there. I have an appointment with Repromed (Dr Robert Norman) 15th October...so the wait begins! What should i expect at my appointment? DH will also be with me

Hey Cimone,

I remember how excited i was about my first appointment as it was finally hope to fulfil our want for a child.

My first appointment was mainly a history of me, with how regular your AF flow is right down to discomfort or pain, how long you have been trying for a baby and general health questions.

I was given blood tests to get done along with my hubby, a prescription for clomid 50mg to start after I had an AF induced with provera (irregular cycles), and a referral for a HSG to be done and Semen analysis for hubby.

Thanks for replying to me abennet1, im really feeling nervous and excited too! I noticed this is your second cycle of clomid- good luck with everything, i hope this month is your month! Have you had any side effects while being on clomid? Also are you on any other medication? Im not sure whether the doc will prescribe me metformin and clomid as they are supposed to work well together? Hmmm...
Well we are supposed to be going out tonight for dinner with a large group of friends and lately when i go out i feel really, well...crap. Im so self conscious about everything and all i want to be able to do is wear my hair down...but im so worried that people will be able to see where the hair is thinning...sigh*guess im just having one of those days...
