Default What are some good companies to work for, as far as benefits & health insurance goes?

FedEx is by far one of the best, I've seen that first hand with my brother who is a FedEx driver. I'm now trying to get into FedEx myself, even at part time I will have it after only 90 days. I am praying so hard I get this job. I'll have health insurance for the first time in my life, by the time it kicks in I'll be 25. That'll be the best gift I could ask for! Dealing with PCOS UNTREATED for 12/13 years now...(other than what I try and fail to do on my own, aka exercise, eat right)

^ unfortunately in jobs like that you do get crap, mylyssa1981, and that is crappy.

Believe it or not Family Dollar offers excellent health insurance if you are full time. Part time I didn't have crap, but I have been full time for over 2 years now and my insurance was incredible. Sadly their benefits aren't worth what I have gone through there in the last 3 years so when I got married I switched over to my DH's insurance and I am looking for a new job.

I've heard similar things about Trader Joes. We both work for state govt of GA, where insurance is basic but don't cover any infertility, nutrition/weight loss/surgery, or smoking cessation.

Yes, FedEx is good. I'm keepin' my fingers crossed for you!

If FedEx doesn't pan out, look into working for United Parcel Service (UPS). They sometimes hire Christmas help as early as August and it's a good way to get a foot in the door with the company. Even the part timers get excellent health benefits because it is through the Teamsters Union.
We are very, very thankful for my DH's job there.

Good luck!

Jp Morgan Chase has excellent benefits. We are allowed several different insurance options, one of them even offers IVF coverage. My Dr told me I have the best insurance available in the area.

Yeah, UPS does have good benefits. My dad is looking for a job and needs to start off at part-time and one of the places he applied was UPS just because it started out part time and had great benefits.

Do any of you know what Fed EX or UPS covers as far as infertility insurance. I have a state job in Mississippi and they do not cover anything related to infertility. Sucks so bad.

I worked at Citi at a call center for CitiCards/CitiGroup as a CSR & Sales and insurance there covered infertility treatments even IVF. Too bad we weren't ttc then. I am thinking about going back just for the insurance. It was hell there though. I would literally get sick the closer I got to work, I would start to feel better right after walking out the revolving doors. I don't think working there would be a good idea for me if we were ttc again because of all the stress. I have never had a job that I hated so much that it made me sick until I worked there. But great insurance...LOL

That's a very good question. I will see if I can find out the answer for you regarding UPS's coverage.

Wells Fargo has good benefits, although they don't cover IVF. Way better than US Bank's benefits!

Wal-Mart has good benefits if you work at the Home Office. If you work in the stores, you have whatever PPO/HMO they are using in the area. But if your in the Bentonville/Fayetteville, AR area, you could get great benefits. Too bad I wasn't DX'd until I moved from that area.
