Hey there... I'm really glad this website is here. I'm not officially diagnosed, but my doctor is pretty sure that I have PCOS. I have to go for a few more tests, mainly a transvaginal ultrasound, but the more I read up on this, the more sure I am that this makes perfect sense for all of my symptoms. (crazy cycles, extra hair growth, overweight around the middle, get dizzy a couple hours after eating, high testosterone levels...the list goes on!)
I'm in the researching my butt off stage, and this website has been a great help so far, so thanks for being here.
Its nice to meet all of you!
One question... does anyone experience memory problems? I feel like my brain hasn't been my own for years. This is one symptom I can't find anything written about. Thanks!
Yes, they checked my thyroid and there is nothing wrong with it. That is really what I thought was wrong with me before my testosterone levels came back high, but everything there is perfect.
After my first post I found out a friend of mine has been diagnosed with PCOS for a year, and she also has problems with her memory. Maybe we are just lucky, lol.
I have problems with my memory, but I just figured it was just a 'me' thing. Be interesting if it was linked to PCOS, but if it was.. it'd probably be written about somewhere.
Welcome to SC! I am newly diagnosed as well and I do have that memory thing too. I haven't heard or read anythign where it was related to PCOS but that would be interesting - I think women today are just so busy our poor brains are working overtime all the time!
