Hi All
I have had PCO for more than a few years now. I never really have taken meds for it cause i didnt like the side effects. Recently I have lost weight all on my own ( im so proud lol) just 15 pounds but its a start right! I want to have a baby so I have decded to come off of the BCP. Its been only about 1 month now. Since I don't get regular AF my gyn gave me provera 10mg for 10 days. I kina forgot to take them for 2 days and today I am spotting. I am suppose to have blood drwn on the 3 day, SHOULD I CONTIUNE THE OTHER PILLS? or just stop them? Ok the reason for the 3 day testing is because he going to be checking for me O'ing, at least i told him to. This is what he will be test- hormone panel and free testosterone and DHEAS. What is all that and SHOULD HE BE TESTING FOR SOMETHING ELSE I DONT ABOUT? any suggestions or advise will be greatly apprieciate! Thanks!
The hormone panel is great. Also, if you haven't had a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) done, you should. It is a simple test to check for blockages in your fallopian tubes. Also, a baseline u/s would be good to make sure you have no cysts. Another thing to think of is having your DH tested. Sometimes, there is more fertility issues than first assumed. I know for me, I am fortunate that my DH doesn't have fertility issues. But your partner should get a Semen Analysis done to check things out. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Have him check your Vitamin D levels, and TSH levels as well.

No problem! There's a lot of things I wish I knew when DH and I first decided to TTC. So any help or advice I can offer to someone else saves them from the time spent aimlessly TTC.
