Every once in a while I get these shooting pains in my vagina area. I just finished AF and just tonight I have been getting these really sharp pains just above my vagina area. I was wondering if anyone else has had these pains and if so, what are they from? How long do they last and how can I get rid of them? Thankyou for any help.

I also have them every now and then. I have no clue what they are or how to treat them. They usually pass after a few days and I forget about it until it happens again. Sorry I'm not much help. Maybe someone will have some advice.

Gas pains? Like the other poster said, constipation? If you ever have any colon/anal problems like hemmorhoids, anal fissure etc (which can happen quite easily thanks to this syndrome causing bowel problems for us) it will sometimes radiate to different areas making the pain feel as if it is originating from the vagina or uterus.
Or, it could be that your cervix is very sensitive and you can feel it trying to close back up. I get those kind of pains too. Especially if I have sex around AF time, then I get some shooting cervical pains sometimes afterwards. Or even if I am just sitting wrong for too long.. like on a hard wooden chair or something.

I get the same kind of pain. When I am constipated I have been able to tell the difference since it happens quite often for me. Its like a different kind of pain,a shooting pain as apposed to a lingering pain for me... I wish I knew why and how to stop it....

I also get these pains, but usually on my period, so for me I think it's related to that.
