I'll be going on Met in a couple weeks and I'm trying to plan ahead. Because of the kind of job I have, I don't always have immediate use of a bathroom or I'm not comfortable using the one near me (I work often in client's homes). So, I'm trying to figure out if women notice that it's worse in the morning, evening, related to when they take their meds. I don't know if this is really "answerable" but I guess I'd like to know if side effects popped up at a certain time of day when you first went on it. I'm pretty nervous about this . . .
For me it was every time I ate, becuase it was related to a high carb diet. When I started controlling my insulin through diet, my s/e stopped.
So eat to keep your insulin controlled and it will make a huige difference.

I also seem worst in the morning, about 30 minutes after I get up. Occassionally, I feel pretty aweful in the evenings. I was also worried about work and ended up only have to use the bathroom twice at work. I usually got it out of the way before work or in the evenings. However, I am sure it is different for everyone.

Thanks for your input! I think I'll try starting met in the evenings, since most of my clients aren't until the afternoon . . . maybe any side effects will have run their course that way.
I just started Met and my doc recommended easing into it (one pill with dinner for the first week, two pills with dinner for the 2nd week and finally 3 pills on the third week). The side effects are supposed to be lessened. I have only taken one so far, so we'll see how it goes!
